Love is our Defence
Ephesians 6: 10-20
The letter to the Ephesians uses military imagery to describe how a new Christian community is to prepare for the struggles for justice, wholeness, harmony. The writers encourage the people to derive strength from God’s strength. They are not merely individual struggles, but also battles with external forces of darkness or evil,
to which all of us are subject.
The ‘armour of God’ is like a defence against what may harm us.
God’s love is our defence against fear.
